Working alongside one designer and receiving feedback from two senior designers, I led the creation of a reusable design system for the floor map experience. This included: Low-fidelity wireframes and interaction exploration, high-fidelity mockups showcasing 2–3 distinct venue types, a modular component library with scalable elements (e.g., tables, stages, bars), mobile-first UX planning with zoom, pan, and tap interaction states, internal documentation, and presentation for handoff.

The Challenge

Dorsia, a premium reservation platform, needed an interactive floor map system to enhance its in-app user experience. The goal was to design a modular, brand-aligned component that could visually represent venue layouts—supporting features like table booking, amenity discovery, and navigation—across a wide range of luxury spaces, from restaurants to private clubs. The challenge was creating a system that was both intuitive and highly flexible, maintaining visual elegance while accommodating diverse venue types, multi-floor layouts, and responsive needs across mobile and web platforms.

The Solution

The final system delivered a sleek, brand-aligned experience rooted in Dorsia’s luxury aesthetic. The design incorporated intuitive zoning, clear hierarchy, and iconography for quick understanding, while maintaining adaptability across screen sizes and layout complexities. We built a flexible, scalable UI kit that allowed the component to evolve across venues, ensuring consistency and elegance while future-proofing for staff-facing or partner interface extensions. A lightweight prototype was also included to demonstrate live interaction and responsiveness in context.

The Result

Optimized user experience for 125,000+ high paying members, projected boost in table sales.
