Overview
As part of an Intro to Design Thinking course, we were tasked with reimagining the ramen experience for college students — with no creative constraints. Through interviews with 100 students, we identified three consistent needs: affordability, convenience, and flavor. While traditional ramen met some of these needs, there was a gap in the market for a portable, snackable format that delivered the same satisfaction without the need for preparation or utensils.

The Challenge
Inspired by the popularity of Buldak Ramen, we developed a new product concept called Ramix: a dry, deconstructed ramen snack designed for on-the-go enjoyment. I worked collaboratively on market research, visual branding, user flow mapping, and physical prototyping. Tools included Miro for ideation, Photoshop and Premiere Pro for packaging and storytelling, and physical materials to build our MVP.
The Solution
Ramix is a portable snack kit that includes the core dry ingredients of a ramen bowl, reimagined as a mixable, shareable snack. Each kit comes with three dipping sauces inspired by traditional Asian flavors, allowing users to customize their experience. The final concept merged cultural relevance, tactile fun, and culinary nostalgia — tailored to the lifestyle of modern students.
The Result
Our class of 25 loved indulging in our crunchy ramen snacks.
